Sand Filtration System
Cooling towers get dirty too fast, and it is tedious to keep it clean all time. Sand Filtration System is an add-on equipment to maintain Cooling Tower water cleanliness all the time. It is necessary because dirty cooling tower water will affect the condenser circuit and even damage equipment along the circuit, thereby resulting in poor chiller efficiency.
Sand filtration system help to filter dust particles up to 10 microns. Filtration systems come with automatic backwash to rinse the sand and keep it clean every day, so the dirts filtered by the system will be washed away. These are standalone type which does not depend on the chiller circuits. These have its pipeline from cooling tower to the unit and back to the cooling tower.These are otherwise known as Side Stream Filtration System.
